28 Weeks

I am officially 6 months pregnant now, 28 weeks as of today. I thought I would start a blog to record the last trimester of my pregnancy and (eventually) the life and times of Dolton Craig.

I am due on April 25th, a most famous day in history (if you ask my dad), with my first child, a boy, to be named Dolton Craig after my grampa (Dolton) and my dad (Dale Craig).

I am starting to show quite a bit, and none of my clothes seem to fit anymore... even my t-shirts are too tight! I'm also still experiencing morning sickness, which is not fun. I swear this kid will be grounded when he pops out for making me sick for so long!

Things seem to be going well in there, he moves and kicks a lot, especially when I'm trying to sleep. Now that I have been diagnosed with asthma (after an overnight stay in the hospital last week), I'm feeling better as well. Knowing what's wrong, as well as being on the right medications, have really helped.

I'm starting to get his nursery together... I have his furniture (crib, dresser, changing table) in the garage, I just need to get his room cleared out so I can set it all up. I'll post pictures of the nursery as soon as it's done.

One really funny thing happened this week... When I was reading a list of things to pack for the hospital, one item was 'lotion for mom'. My first thought was, "Can't my mom bring her own lotion? Why would I need to bring some for her?" Oops! It's still weird to think that I'm going to be a mom.

Well, I think that's all for this first post. Look for nursery pictures to come soon!
